Happy Healthy Holidays!
'Tis the season to be jolly, and to over-eat, and to be too busy to exercise, and to get stressed out and to not get enough sleep! How's someone to be jolly?
Here's some website tips for a healthy and happy holiday to use and to share with your workers.
1. Feel better by eating better: http://www.cpmc.org/about/e-health/11-05%20healthy-holidays.html
2. Want some ideas for what to make? You can find healthy holiday recipes from Eating Well: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes_menus.
1. Are holidays making you stressed? Here's some good advice from the Mayo Clinic: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/stress/MH000306

2. You can also de-stress & have some fun outdoors with your kids at: http://elecehollis.suite101.com/outdoor-winter-day-activities-a9856 . But while you're at it, be safe in the cold: http://kidshealth.org/parent/firstaid_safe/outdoor/winter_safety.html# .
3. Kids aren't the only ones who can benefit from playing outdoors. You don't have to stop your walking or exercise routine just because it's cold outside. This article is about running, but it works for walkers and other outdoor activities as well: http://www.posetech.com/training/archives/000688.html. Oh, and they make these terrific things for the bottoms of your shoes to keep you from slipping in snow & ice: http://www.yaktrax.com/Products. You may find cheaper versions, but I cannot recommend them because I have not tried them.
4. Who has time for all of this? Here's some time management tips for the holidays: http://sbinfocanada.about.com/od/timemanagement/a/holidaystress.htm .
